How long have you been a veterinary nurse?
I have been working at Animal Ark for two and a half years and have been an SVN for a month.
What is the most rewarding thing about this career choice?
The most rewarding thing is getting to see happy animals as they are nursed back to health.
What’s the best thing about working at Animal Ark?
I enjoy working with the whole team as they are all so supportive and getting to see the regular patients that we have bonded with.
What does an average day involve for a veterinary nurse at Animal Ark? What type of treatments and care does this include?
We support the vets in consults and in surgery. We get a chance to meet many clients.
How has your role progress within Animal Ark?
I started as a Veterinary Care Assistant and have recently started college. I have been developing my skills since I started.
How has your role changed during the pandemic?
It hasn’t changed as such but I have been able to continue to improve my skills even when we have been very busy.
What single most important thing has helped you through these challenging times?
The support of my team has been a great support!
