Summer Fair Success
The weather held as Animal Ark was inundated with swarms of people and their pets as valued clients, locals and crew celebrated the Animal Ark 10 Year Anniversary at the Summer Fair Open Day on Sunday 30 September.
Charities put their heart and soul into the event with stalls and the bikers roared to the rescue with pet food donations on the Motorcyclists Federation (BMF) Pet Food Run. Over £2,000 was raised on the day, a fantastic effort.
Animal Ark threw open the doors inviting people come in and have a ‘behind the scenes’ look as crew and industry reps manned informative and interactive displays.
People got the opportunity to tuck into some authentic paella cooked on huge paella pans and home bakers answered our call for help, producing an amazing array of cakes and other goodies. There was certainly enough ‘taste testers’, with the cake stall constantly surrounded by people throughout the day.
Kids were kept amused with face painting, balloon modelling, treasure hunt and ice-cream.
On behalf of our furry friends we would like to say a big thank-you for everyone’s support and generosity.
A day like this takes a lot of effort and preparation and it would not have been the success it was without the fantastic support of numerous volunteers, dedicated crew and the talented home bakers.
