Summer Fair & Open Day , Sunday 30 September 11am-4pm

A biker getting into the spirit!

It’s that time of year again when bikers are dusting off their leathers and polishing their motorbikes for the Annual British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF) Pet Food Run to be held on Sunday 30thSeptember 2012.

Riders will set out from High Beach, Epping from 1pm with pet food to donate to local animal charities. Motorbikes are anticipated to converge on Animal Ark Veterinary Centre at approximately 1.45pm.

The Pet Food Run forms part of Animal Ark’s Summer Fair & Open Day 11am-4pm, celebrating Animal Ark’s 10 Year Anniversary.

A future vet(?) getting her hands dirty.

For the Summer Fair & Open Day, we will open all the doors so people can get to see what goes on behind the scenes in a veterinary practice.  There will be informative and interactive displays including animal behaviour demonstrations by Chirag Patel PG Cert (CAB), BSc(Hons), DipCABT Clinical Animal Behaviourist and Trainer of Domesticated Manners.  Food, refreshments and entertainment will be on offer, with lots of fun things for kids, including face painting. Furry family members are also welcome.

Don’t tell mum!

In addition to the Pet Food Run, charity fund raising will include numerous local animal charity stalls and an old fashioned cake stall.   There will be a charity auction featuring a commission piece of artwork by Lennie Payne ‘the toastman artist’ who has created pieces of artwork from toast involving such celebrities as Simon Cowell.  For the football fans, John Pratt of Tottenham Hotspurs fame (415 games) will be signing memorabilia, recalling football stories and answering questions between 12pm and 2pm.
