THE TAIL OF BAZIL BUNNY
Poor Bazil was off colour, so to the vet he went.
Not much can be done for him, just keep an eye
his life has been well spent.
The time has come to say goodbye and we are very sad.
This tumour of his has got so big
things really do look bad.
The locum vet was to perform the deadly deed
but this vet said "no tumour! It's an abscess,
to put him down there probably is no need".
The lump she cut, which then released such awful pus.
we had to bath it for a week.
Dear Bazil made no fuss.
A further visit was required to see the dreaded vet.
But would you want to go again,
after such treatment of your pet?
So off we went to the Animal Ark, someone had recommended.
Complete tour of inspection, all spick and span.
Even coffee when it was ended.
Bazil had several more visits with lots of medication.
Poor Bazil went through an awful lot.
I don't expect this year there will be a vacation.
So if your animals are poorly or ever do become ill.
We are sure that the Animal Ark
will always be able to find them the right pill.
Bazil's fees have amounted, to about four hundred pound.
But at least we have our dear Bazil.
At last all safe and sound.
So you see this little story has a very happy ending.
