 GEMMA
ARMSTRONG
Gemma joined Animal
Ark in February 2007.
Gemma has a large amount
of animal experience with her previous roles including working on a
farm, large pet store and an aquatics centre.
Gemma is currently
studying her NVQ Nursing.
In her spare time Gemma
enjoys socialising with her fellow nurses.
Gemma has four cats called Ellie, Maisie, Halo and Kit Kat, and
three
rabbits, Tallulah, Turnip and Tiffany.

 HARRIET
BENNETT
Harriet joined Animal
Ark in July 2010.
Before joining Animal
Ark, Harriet completed a degree in Forensic Science.
Harriet has a cat
called Jerry, a rabbit called Polo and has recently adopted a stray
kitten, which she has called Bisquit!!
In her spare time,
Harriet enjoys hanging out with friends and horse riding. |

 NIKKI BROADBRIDGE
Nikki joined Animal Ark
in June 2003.
She qualified as a
Veterinary Nurse in February 2008 and is a team leader of the
nursing crew. She is also an Assessor mentoring trainee nurses.
Nikki has a passion for
being a nurse and caring for animals.
Nikki says "I enjoy the
adrenaline rush I get when working in an emergency situation and the
kick I get out of wearing my uniform"
In her spare time, Nikki enjoys spending time with her
family. |
 SAIRA CARSTENS
Saira is one of our part
time assistants and joined Animal Ark in August 2009.
Saira is hoping to
pursue a career as a Veterinary Nurse.
Saira has a hamster called Parker. |
 HAYLEY EAGLES
Hayley joined Animal
Ark in September 2009.
Before joining Animal
Ark Hayley completed a maths degree at University.
Hayley has a special
interest in exotic animals and has got bearded dragons, a royal
python, a corn snake and a boa constrictor.
In her spare time she enjoys taking her dogs for a walk.

 FAYE FREEMAN
Faye Freeman is one of
our part time assistants and joined Animal Ark in April 2009.
Faye is hoping to pursue
a career as a Veterinary Surgeon.
Faye has a rabbit called Dobby and in her spare time enjoys
swimming. |
 AMIE
GOLDMAN
Amie joined Animal
Ark as a Ward Assistant after leaving school.
Amie's long-term
ambition is to become a qualified veterinary nurse.
In her spare time,
Amie likes to spend time with her family and friends and her
greyhound Max.
Amie is also
impartial to a good concert and having a laugh. |
 KAY MARCH
Kay joined Animal Ark
in March 2009 after five years experience of nursing in the
Essex area.
Kay graduated as a
qualified nurse in August 2010.
Kay keeps herself busy with
her family and her two horses Bailey and Malibu. |
 JO
PALMER
Jo Palmer joined
Animal Ark in July 2007 after completing her studies at
Middlesex University in July 2007.
Jo enjoys being a nurse,
tending to animals and getting on with her tasks at hand.
In her spare time, Jo
volunteers at an animal sanctuary, plays the saxophone and enjoys
reading and watching movies.
Jo has 20 fish (outdoor goldfish), all named, Jenson, Button and
Scarface just to name a few. |
 SOPHIE
PIKE
Sophie joined Animal Ark
after completing a psychology degree from Anglia Ruskin
University.
We are all a bit nuts about
animals at Animal Ark so her psychology degree will not go to
waster.
In her role, Sophie enjoys
the human/animal bond.
In her spare time, Sophie
enjoys spending time with her friends. |
 DEBORAH
RIDEOUT
Deborah joined Animal Ark
in 2010.
Deborah joined Animal Ark
from another veterinary practice as a trainee veterinary nurse.
Deborah enjoys the challenge
and feelgood reward that nursing brings.
Deborah has 21 animals in
total, including cats, dogs, rabbits, chinchillas, snakes and
tortoises to name a few!
In her spare time, Deborah
enjoys caring for her pets and socialising with friends.
Deborah is currently
studying for her NVQ nursing. |

JEMMA SMITH
Jemma joined Animal
Ark in September 2005 as part of the Client Care Crew before
transferring to the Nursing Crew in July 2006.
Jemma graduated as a
qualified nurse in 2009.
Jemma enjoys doing
something different every day and having a challenge. She also
enjoys running the puppy parties that are held every three weeks at
Animal Ark.
Jemma is also in charge
of our in-house laboratory.
Jemma has a dwarf rabbit called Munchkin, a lop called Coco and a
cat called Titsalinabumsquash! |

HAYLEY STOKES
Hayley joined
Animal Ark as a Ward Assistant after leaving school. Hayley
has had a lifelong ambition to work with animals and thoroughly
enjoys her role making a fuss over the inpatients.
In her spare time,
Hayley likes to spend time with her two dogs (a West Highland White
Terrier and a Cocker Spaniel), her cat and to go on long hacks with
her horse (Irish sport horse cross thoroughbred).
She also enjoys
kickboxing! |

LEANNE WEBSTER
Leanne Webster joined Animal Ark in November 2007.
Before coming into nursing, Leanne was involved in customer care.
Leanne is currently
studying on the Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) course.
Leanne has two cats called Tammy and Ginger. |

NICOLA YOUNG
Nicola joined Animal
Ark in May 2007. In July 2007 she graduated with BSc in
Veterinary Nursing qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse.
Nicola enjoys working at
Animal Ark, in particular, getting to know clients and their pets.
She enjoys carrying out weight control nurse clinics and
hydrotherapy clinics.
Nicola is a real animal lover and has a large amount of pets. She
has a Shetland Pony called Toby, a Welsh Cob/Palomino cross called
Robin. Four cats, Binx, Sooty, Edward and Ashley. Three
dogs, a Border Collie called Max, a Jack Russell called Stevie and a
cross breed called Lucy adopted from Animal Ark. Two rats, a Guinea
Pig, a love bird and a Minah bird. |
