During our opening times, our team at Animal Ark is here to look after your pet.  Our team of dedicated Vets, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Veterinary Nurses, and Patient Care Assistants ensure that your pet has the very best care.  

Inpatients admitted during these hours are cared for by our team, however, we will be changing how we operate out of hours.

Starting on November 29, 2021, we will be joining in a partnership with Vets Now Thamesmead Emergency Clinic for our out of hours care and bank holiday coverage.

Vets Now Thamesmead

We have selected the Vets Now Thamesmead as our out-of-hours care partner due to their excellent level of veterinary care. Vets Now Thamesmead have their own dedicated team and facilities.  They will bill you separately for their care.

In many cases, your Animal Ark Veterinary Surgeon and the Vets Now Thamesmead team will discuss your pets’ case history, the tests and treatment to tailor an appropriate treatment plan. As Vets Now Thamesmead is a partner company, they will call you for consent for further workup or treatment.  They will discuss their estimated bill for their services.  

Patient care 

Inpatients admitted during our normal opening hours are still cared for by our dedicated team.

Patients admitted out of hours and on the weekend will be cared for by our partners at Vets Now Thamesmead. They have state-of-the-art facilities and the latest equipment to monitor your pet overnight. If your pet improves whilst under the care of the Vets Now Thamesmead team and they recommend discharging your pet from the hospital, they will contact you to arrange a suitable collection time and will request payment for the treatment they give. A detailed invoice will be printed out and attached to your pet’s paperwork so you can see the itemised overview of your pet’s treatment and care. 

Although having your pet at the vets can be a worrying time, by using Vets Now Thamesmead,  you can continue to receive the very best of treatment and care 24 hours a day.
