We believe two of the most
important aspects of veterinary care is firstly, carrying out a full
examination on the patient, and secondly listening to our clients and what
they have to say about their pet's health.
This is achieved by carrying out
consultations in a relaxed atmosphere.
As such, we allot fifteen minute
consultation periods, which is some 50% more than the industry average.
Our length of consultations
provides our crew the opportunity to carry out a full physical examination
and the opportunity to listen to you. From this, we can discuss your
pet's healthcare requirements allowing you to make an informed decision.
We also provide larger than
average consultation rooms, with lots of natural light, which helps put
both your pet and you at ease.
The exact length of the
consultation will depend upon the individual circumstances. For
example, a consultation involving a complicated skin condition may require
a little longer than the standard allotted time. Alternatively, a
less complicated condition that you are familiar with may require less
time.
At the end of the day, our
approach is to spend as much time as is required to ensure the needs of
both you and your pet are met.
The Cambridge dictionary defines a
consultation as 'to discuss something with someone before you make a
decision' and that is how we interpret our role - discussing your
pet's healthcare needs and answering your questions to allow you to make
an informed decision.
